I’ll give writing fics a shot." Thanks girl you’re the best! And of course, I dedicate all these stories to all my fans who inspire me to keep writing and bringing back Jasmine for new adventures. I love you guys! Okay, I’m done. Enjoy. Much love…

Meet Jasmine
By Brittany Marie

Jasmine looked around the unfamiliar atmosphere and breathed a nervous sigh. You’d think her parents would have let her finish up her last year of high school before moving across the country. Feeling sad, angry and scared all at once, she picked up one of the boxes, which contained her personal belongings, and walked into a new house that, was to her, the poorest example of "home".

"It won’t be so bad. We’ll adjust quickly to the neighborhood- before you even know it," her mother said, trying to comfort her. "I’ll tell you what. Get yourself settled and I’ll take you out. We’ll look around and grab a bite to eat. Whaddya say?"

"Thanks mom, but I really don’t feel like going anywhere. I’m just going to load this stuff into my room and call it a day," Jasmine mumbled back.

Her mother nodded and watched as Jasmine walked away. It was hard for her to see her daughter so upset. However, there was nothing she could do about it. Her husband accepted a job in Angel Grove, California, and took the family from New York with him. Jasmine had left all of her happiest memories behind in the state she truly believed was the only place to call home. As Jasmine walked into her new, empty room, she dropped the box she was carrying on the floor and cried. She felt lonely. During her whole life in New York, she had grown dependent on her friends. She couldn’t do anything alone or on her own. She was shy when it came to meeting new people. Her girlfriends were like her sisters and leaving them was the hardest thing she ever had to do. Tears were cried and promises were made. She felt so distant from them already. She laid on the bare floor of the room and cried herself to sleep.

"So, Billy, is it fixable?" Tanya asked worriedly.

"I don’t know. I’ll try to rearrange the wires-it’s worth a shot." Billy replied back to his friend. Tanya was in the middle of a rehearsal for a performance she was doing later that night, when her microphone fell out of her grasp and hit the hard stage floor. Without it, she couldn’t practice right and panic overwhelmed her.

"Thank you so much." She said back to him, gratefully.

He nodded at that and smiled. It was times like these that he felt needed and appreciated. Of course, his friends had always been there for him and made him feel accepted. But when he could do something that none of the others could, it made him feel special.

With one click of the thumb, sound was heard from the small object. "Got it." Billy said, pleased with himself.

"YES! Thanks again Billy, you’re the best!" Tanya shrieked as she ran back on the stage to continue her song. He watched as she sung. When she was finished, applause from the rest of their friends, Tommy, Katherine and Rocky arose and Tanya jumped off the stage as she ran into the arms of her boyfriend, Adam. Billy sighed as the two embraced. A wave of jealousy washed over him as he stared. He wanted someone of his own.

On the walk home later that afternoon, he saw a moving van parked outside a house, not more than a block away from his own. Hm...I guess the Goldman’s are gone for good. I wonder who the new neighbors are... He said to himself. He thought about walking up and introducing himself, but quickly decided against it. Let them settle in first. He told himself as he walked in silence the rest of the way.

Jasmine woke up later that evening, stiff from lying on the naked floor. She rose to her feet and stretched, loosening up the muscles in her body. With that, she walked out of her room and into the kitchen, where her mother had already set up most of their belongings. "Wow, do you work fast or what?" She questioned her mother.

"You know how I hate leaving things undone." Her mother said back to her.

"This place is pretty big. It’s nice." Jasmine looked around the room. The kitchen, den and living room were all connected and in her view. All walls and carpets were white. She knew her mother would change that, once they had gotten everything together.

She wandered back into her room and opened some of her boxes. She took a deep breath, plugged in her boombox, turning it on and started putting everything in its rightful place. Her brother and father had already moved her night table, as well as bed frame, vanity and dressers into the room earlier that day. Her part was easy.

A couple of hours passed, and Jasmine was tired. She was almost finished though and wasn’t prepared to stop, for she knew if she did, she wouldn’t start back up again. Finally, when she sorted all of her makeup in her vanity drawer, she sought the last thing she needed to do. She walked outside to the driveway and opened the back of the van they had rented. She quickly spotted her mattress and tried to lift it. She managed to pull it out of the van, but realized when it fell to the ground that she wouldn’t be able to pick it up and carry it into the house on her own. "Great...Now what?"

Billy looked at his watch and realized he was early. He was supposed to meet his friends in a half an hour at the Angel Grove Youth Center to catch Tanya’s performance. Due to boredom and the need to get some physical exercise, he decided not to drive to the gym, but walk. As he walked underneath the night sky, he thought about all the work that needed to be done. The Rangers’ Zeo Zords needed to be adjusted and fixed, as well as his computer. He needed to do some extra credit assignments for homework as well as round up more test scores for his college application. He also had been spending time tutoring Junior High School students. Notes needed to be made for them, and his mind was lost in a complete frenzy. As he began to think about how he was going to lift all this weight off his shoulders, he heard someone struggling with something across the street. He walked closer and saw the image and the back view of a female trying to move, what seemed to be a bed mattress. "Need any help?" He called out.

Jasmine, startled, spun around, her long brown hair falling in front of her face. She clutched a hand to her chest and breathed a sigh of relief as she saw an innocent looking male, about her age, staring back at her with concern. "I’m sorry, you frightened me." She said to him.

"I’m the one who’s sorry. That wasn’t my intention." Billy apologized. "Do you need me to give you a hand? You look like you could use some assistance."

Jasmine looked at him uneasy, wondering if she should trust this stranger. He seemed harmless, and as she looked into his warm, green eyes, she knew it was all right. "Would you please? I guess I’m not as strong as I thought I was."

"It’s no problem." Billy assured her. He walked around her towards the other side and lifted the mattress from the opposite end. "Alright, lift your side up and walk on the count of three." He instructed. Jasmine followed her orders and waited for her cue. She was surprised to feel that all the weight that had once been too much for her to handle had disappeared. Billy was carrying the majority of it and with much ease she had noticed. They made it to the front door. "Should I open it?" Billy asked.

"No..." Jasmine answered, knowing her mother would become frightened seeing a strange, broad man walk into her house. "Just knock on the glass."

When Jasmine’s mother answered the door and let them in, they started through the den and kitchen, making they’re way to Jasmine’s room. Jasmine laughed as Billy bumped into a curve in the wall. He looked up at her and grinned. "Thanks."

She looked back at him and took in his face in the light. He’s gorgeous. She thought to herself as she noticed his muscular frame.

"Um...a little help here?" Billy hinted to a dreamy-eyed Jasmine.

"Oh...right...sorry." She replied.

They finally made it to Jasmine’s room and placed the mattress on the large canopy. She quickly threw her sheets, pillows and comforter on it and made it up creatively.

"Nice room-I like all the planets and stars and accessories" Billy complimented as he glanced around the room.

"Thanks. I’m going to paint it all blue, but I’m waiting to get settled in first." Jasmine stated.

"Blue?" Billy repeated.

"Yeah." She answered, "It’s my favorite color. Most girls like light colors like pinks and violets and yellows. I’m different. Blue shows warmth and attitude. All shades represent themselves differently."

Billy smiled, "I agree. It’s my favorite also."

Billy studied Jasmine closely. The beautiful brunette’s soft brown eyes stared right back into his. Her skin was lightly tanned and her curvaceous body snug tightly into her black pants and leotard. She was no more than five feet, four inches and her hair reached down to the middle of her back. Her face was clear, with not one flaw. Her lips were a deep pink and her smile consisted of a series of perfect, pearly white teeth. He never had before, been so attracted to a person in his whole eighteen years.

"Oh...by the way. My name’s Jasmine Romero. Some people call me Jazz." She confirmed, reaching out her hand.

"Billy Cranston. It’s a pleasure to meet you." Billy said as he placed his hand in hers. As they shook hands, Jasmine’s mother walked into the room.

"And I’m Maria. Jasmine’s mom." She interrupted, introducing herself to the handsome, dirty blonde fellow. "Do you live nearby?"

"Just around the block actually. I was going for a walk when I saw Jasmine here, attempting to lift something that appeared heavier than herself." He joked as he grinned over at his new friend. Maria chuckled. "Would you like something to drink, Billy?" She asked him.

"No, no. Actually I have somewhere to be right now. I’m meeting some friends at the juice bar, just a few blocks up." Billy answered.

"A juice bar huh?" Mrs. Romero asked curiously. "Is it like a teen hangout?"

Billy nodded. "You’ll find most of Angel Grove High there."

Jasmine swallowed the knot in her throat. Just the thought of meeting people from a different school gave her butterflies. She never had to be the "new girl" before and she had a feeling she wasn’t going to like it very much.

"Well, Billy, as you can see, Jasmine doesn’t have any friends around here," Jasmine’s mom said, as she made a gesture towards Jasmine. "Do you think you could take her with you if its not too much trouble?"

"Ma! Stop! Please." Jasmine pleaded with embarrassment.

Billy saw Jasmine’s cheeks go pink. "No, really, it’s no trouble at all. I could use a little company on my way there too. My friends would be happy to meet you." Billy told her reassuringly.

"I don’t think so...." Jasmine started.

"Oh come on. It’ll be fun. I’ll have you back here at 9 on the dot." Billy insisted.

Jasmine looked at her mother, than back at Billy. "Oh, alright. Just let me change my shirt." She gave in, as she disappeared into her room. Mrs. Romero gave Billy a ‘thank you’ smile, and Billy returned it with a smile of his own.

Moments later, Jasmine returned wearing a long-sleeved red shirt and sneakers. Her and Billy walked towards the door, making their way out.

"I’ll see you soon Mom." Jasmine called out. With that, her and Billy were left alone, walking together in awkward silence.

"So....I, see you setup very quickly." Billy said, attempting to break the silence after several minutes.

"Yeah. I feel uncomfortable leaving things unfinished...If that makes any sense." Jasmine replied.

"I know what you mean." Billy agreed.

"So...I’m guessing you go to Angel Grove High."

Billy laughed. "You guessed right."

"You’re a senior?" She asked him.

Billy nodded.

"I can’t believe I’m spending my last year of High School somewhere else, rather than East." She stated, a bit annoyed.

Billy looked at her sympathetically. "I’m guessing that was your old school."

She looked up with tears in her eyes. "No one seems to understand. I grew up in New York. All my friends and family are there. I never thought that I would have to leave that all behind. Now I know things will never be the same. I’m going to become distant from all that I know and love and it’s all because my parents made this stupid decision to drop everything and move here!" She cried.

Startled by her upsetting reaction, Billy gently grabbed her shoulder. "Whoa, whoa slow down." He said softly, trying to calm her down. When she cooperated, he began talking again. "Things aren’t going to be as bad as you think. Actually, I doubt they will be bad at all. This is a new experience for you. The people here are great and you’ll learn that very quickly. Just give it a shot." He said, looking at her with compassion.

She couldn’t help but be surprised at the warmth and concern Billy was showing towards her. She liked it. She also could tell Billy was going to be one of her favorite people in this new town. She smiled at him. "Thanks." She replied softly. She then regained her composure and let Billy lead her to their destination.

When they arrived fifteen minutes later, Jasmine became shocked at how many people were actually there. Some were dancing, some were sitting at tables and the bar and others were just standing outside with friends. Billy waved hellos to most of the people there, but then stopped at a particular group of people.

"Hey Billy! Whose the girl?" asked a cute guy with brown hair and a big smile.

"Rocky, guys," Billy addressed everyone, "this is Jasmine. She just moved here today from New York."

There was a chorus of wow’s and hi’s, as well as five hands reaching out to Jasmine. "Hi." She replied back, feeling welcome.

Billy introduced her to the gang and taught her everyone’s names. They all found a table and sat together. Billy and his friends tried to get to know Jasmine and find out a little more about her. "So, what part of New York are you from?" Tommy asked her.

"Long Island." Jasmine answered. "I grew up there my whole life."

Tanya and Kat exchanged glances. "Trust me, if anyone knows what it’s like to be the new girl, it’s Tanya and I. We grew up in different places too. I’ve only been here for a year and Tanya for about six months." Kat said as Tanya nodded.

"I kind of figured that." Jasmine joked, implying to Kat’s Australian accent. At that moment, Tanya got up from the table.

"Well guys, it’s show time!" she said excitedly as she walked away towards the stage in the front of the juice bar.

"What is she doing?" Jasmine asked.

"You’ll see." Billy said back to her.

Before Jasmine could answer, the lights went dimmer and a large man appeared in front of the microphone. "That’s Ernie." Billy whispered to her. "He’s the owner of the juice bar."

Ernie warmed up the crowd. "How’s everyone doing tonite?" he shouted. Cheers were heard from every end of the juice bar. "Well, I would like all of you to please give a warm welcome, to Miss Tanya Sloan!" The screams became louder.

"Wow, she’s pretty popular huh?" Jasmine wisecracked. Billy just grinned. At the same time, Tanya appeared from the side of the stage. Music started lightly, then gained tempo as drums and strings were added. The noise became loud and catchy as everyone in the gym rose from their seats and clapped their hands to the beat. Tanya began dancing to the rhythm. Finally, she was in front of the mike and started singing, her voice loud and powerful, filling the large place with her musical sound.

"Whoa.... She’s really good!" exclaimed Jasmine.

"I know..." was all that Billy replied.

When the song ended, Tanya bowed to her fans and blew a kiss. The hyped audience appreciated the music they had just heard and wanted to hear more. Without hesitation, Tanya agreed to sing another song. This one, however, being a love ballad. Couples gathered near the stage and held on to their loved ones in a sweet, amorous dance. Jasmine looked around her and saw Tommy lifting Katherine up from her seat and escorting her to the dance floor. Adam had also disappeared, as he was in front of the stage, listening to his girlfriend belt out her tune. Rocky, Billy and Jasmine were alone at the table.

"Hey Jasmine?" Rocky said, trying to get her attention.

"Yes?" She answered.

"Would you-" he started to ask when suddenly he felt a tap on his back. He spun around and saw Jessica, a girl he used to date, standing behind him.

"Rocky, may I have this dance?" the blonde asked.

Rocky looked back at Jasmine then at Jessica. "Sure." He said back to her. As he got up from his chair, he shot Billy a look. With that, he winked and started out towards the dance floor with his partner. Jasmine stared at the floor with her arms folded across her chest. For the first time that night, she felt uncomfortable. Billy sensed it and tried his best to avoid it as well.

"Jasmine, would you have this dance with me?" he asked her, grinning.

She smiled. She knew what he was trying to do and she could not help but realize how sweet he was.

"I’d love to." She answered, as the two of them walked out to where the others were dancing. When Tanya’s song ended, she jumped down off the stage and onto the dance floor with Adam. The band still played without their lead singer.

Jasmine and Billy danced through the next three songs, when finally Jasmine realized the time. "Oh

my gosh! I’ve got to get home! I didn’t realize how late it was!" she exclaimed.

"It’s after nine. I didn’t realize it either." Tommy chipped in.

"Guess time flies when you’re having fun." She remarked, looking at Billy with a smile. He put his head down and blushed lightly.

"Come on." He started, "I’ll take you home."

On the walk home, Billy and Jasmine chatted about school. Jasmine had lots of worries about starting school the next day. Billy reassured her that everyone would love her and that she was making herself nervous over nothing. This made her feel better and together, they talked and laughed the whole way back to Jasmine’s place. As they walked up the yard and onto the porch, Jasmine turned around and thanked Billy.

"What for?" he asked confused.

"For accepting me. I’ve only known you for a few hours and already you’ve devoted so much time to me. It means a lot." She told him.

"Well, it was the least I could do. You’re going to be fine. I’m really looking forward to getting to know you more." He blurted out.

"That would be nice." She said back to him.

"Well then, see you tomorrow?" he asked her, walking away.

"Of course."

Students poured through Angel Grove High, as they ran to their first period classes. Jasmine entered the building in awe. "God, this place is huge." She concurred. She walked inside and asked a student for directions to the guidance office. When she arrived there through the mob of students, she was handed a schedule. She looked over her classes and sighed. "Here we go Jazz..." She said out loud. She walked through the halls, trying to find her first period class. The bell starting class rang two minutes prior. She hoped the teachers would be understanding about her situation. She didn’t feel like being embarrassed on her first day at a new school. Finally, she found a door whose number was identical to the one on her schedule. She knocked on the door, then walked in. The classroom was rather large. She estimated it held thirty kids. A young, trim, blonde woman welcomed her with a smile. "Hmm...Jasmine Romero I’m guessing. They told me this would be your first day. Welcome. I’m Mrs. Borgogelli." Jasmine smiled in relief at the friendly teacher. She looked around the room to see if she saw any familiar faces. Finally, she spotted Rocky and lucky for her, there was a seat empty in front of him. "Jasmine, here’s a card and a textbook. Fill out the card and hand it back to me after class. Now, let’s see. Why don’t you take that seat in front of Rocky?" she suggested, pointing in Rocky’s direction.

"Thank you." Was all Jasmine replied. She smiled at Rocky as she slid into her seat. He tapped her shoulder from the back as a friendly gesture in return.

"You any good in English?" he whispered to her.

"Yeah right!" she said sarcastically, "I barely passed it."

"Which year?" he questioned.

"EVERY year." She answered. Rocky laughed.

The class went on as the teacher talked about a short story the class had just read, as well as grammar and an upcoming report. Jasmine hardly paid any attention. She anxiously waited for the bell to ring-freeing her from the hell that was English. Finally, her wish came true and she popped out of her seat, ready to find her next class.

"What’s next?" Rocky asked her.

"Math...how grand." Jasmine said in a sarcastic tone. "Hey, do you think I’ll have any classes with Billy?" She asked Rocky.

"Well...it depends." Rocky started, "How are your grades usually?"

"I don’t know. They vary I guess." She told him, "Why?"

"It’s just that...Billy’s seriously a genius. He’s the smartest kid, not only in all of Angel Grove High, but in the state. He’s in all advanced classes." Rocky stated.

Jasmine bit down on her lip in disappointment. "Well, that’s not good...."

Rocky looked at her with curiosity. "Wait, do you have a little thing for Billy?"

Jasmine wasn’t sure how she felt towards Billy. But she wasn’t prepared to put her heart on the line and tell all of her secrets to people she didn’t even know she could trust yet. "No, it’s not anything like that. He’s the first person I met since being here. I would have felt more comfortable I guess." She lied.

"Well, don’t you worry. Rocky DeSantos never let’s a female down! I’ll walk ya to your next period class. K?" He said enthusiastically. Jasmine couldn’t help but laugh.

"Come on HERO."

The day was halfway done. Jasmine had been to English, math and Spanish already, now it was her break. Time for lunch. Rocky promised to meet her in the cafeteria. She spotted him, along with Billy, Tanya, Katherine, Adam and Tommy. They all approached her and greeted her.

"Hey girl! How you likin’ it so far?" Tanya asked.

"It’s friendly. I guess it won’t take me long to adjust." Jasmine admitted.

"Ha ha, that’s the spirit!" Tommy enthused as he gave her a playful shove on the shoulder.

"Why don’t we all find a table?" Katherine suggested. They all found a large, round one and took their seats. To Jasmine’s delight, Billy plotted down right next to her.

"Well this coincidental." Jasmine stated. The group looked at her, confused. "That we all have lunch at the same time." She continued

"What do you mean Jasmine? Seniors eat with seniors, freshmen eat with freshmen and so on." Adam said to her.

"OH, okay, see, I didn’t know that." Jasmine stated. "In my school, lunch periods are mixed and stuff." She suddenly stopped, "In my old school that is." Billy placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder.

"Anyways, new subject. Tanya, you have a great voice. I didn’t get to talk to you last night cause I ran out so fast." Jasmine complimented.

"Thank you." Tanya replied with a smile. Jasmine nodded. "So, are you behind in anything in your classes?" she asked Jasmine.

"Not really. I mean, it is only December. Whatever I’m not sure of will be straightened out before the year is up." She said.

"Well, if you need any help with anything, I’d be glad to give you a hand." Billy said to her. She looked at him, remembering Rocky’s words.

"Ha, guess like we’ll be spending a lot of time together then." she said back, half-jokingly. They looked at each other when suddenly sparks flew. Both became overwhelmed with a feeling in the pit of their stomachs and a racing heart beat. The rest of the crew noticed the dreamy gaze between their two friends and exchanged glances. Suddenly, interrupting the moment, a beeping sound was heard.

"What was that?" Jasmine asked, confused.

"Um…Jazz, we gotta go." said Billy.

"Huh? But we’re in school. Where exactly are you going to?" She laughed.

"I’m serious. We’ll be back soon…okay?" he said in return. Jasmine looked at the rest of the group as they all stood up from their seats and proceeded to leave. What was going on?

"….uh…yeah, I’ll…see you later."

When Jasmine got home that afternoon, she walked straight to her room. She plopped down on her bed. The rest of her day at school had been a total nightmare. She hadn’t said one word to anybody. She didn’t know where Billy and everyone else were. She hadn’t seen them since they left her at lunch. She hoped it wasn’t something she did. What if they had gotten up from the table because they didn’t feel like being around her anymore? Oh no. Please don’t say they hate me. Before she could upset herself, she switched on the TV. She started flipping through the channels, when she paused at the news and saw something that interested her.

"And it seems like yet again, the Power Rangers have saved Angel Grove. Today’s monster seemed to be part fish, part bird. Luckily, it only damaged a few abandoned buildings. The five, colored super heroes made it to the rescue JUST in time…." The news lady continued to talk, as footage from that days adventure was being shown. Jasmine examined the television, trying to put pieces together in her head. She had heard of the Power Rangers before, and she knew they existed. But something just seemed a little weird to her. Like something was being kept from her. "The attack occurred at around 11 a.m…." the woman continued. Jasmine thought about it over in her head. Suddenly, her eyes widened.

"Oh my…." She picked up the phone at the side of her bed and called information. "Yes, can I get the number for Cranston, Angel Grove?"

Billy looked down at his watch. She was late. Jasmine had called him a half an hour prior. She said there was something really important she had to talk to him about. He agreed to meet her in the park. He wanted so badly to tell her why he had left her alone at lunch earlier that day, but he knew he couldn’t. He hoped that she would just accept his apology and leave it at that.

"Billy?" he heard his name being called and spun around.

"Hi Jasmine." he said with a smile, happy to see her.

"I need to…talk to you." She stated carefully, not wanting to spill everything out at once.

"Yeah me too. Look, I’m sorry about earlier today at school. It had nothing to do with you." he started to explain.

"Billy, you don’t need to explain. I think I know." Jasmine said back to him.

Billy looked at her confused. "You know? You know what?" He hadn’t the faintest clue what she was talking about. Suddenly, his communicator went off again, startling him. Oh no. He thought. He began searching for an excuse in his head, when she interrupted his thoughts.

"Go. The world needs you right now."

"But…wait…how…" he began.

"Just go! We’ll talk later." She said back. With that, a stunned Billy hit the button on his communicator and disappeared in a flash of light.

Billy walked into the command center and was greeted by is five peers. "What’s going on?"

"Zordon said he needs to tell us something." Adam said. The teens all looked at each other with the same puzzled expression.

"Well then, what is it Zordon?" Billy asked his mentor.

"OUR SCANNERS HAVE DETECTED SOMETHING THAT COULD CAUSE DANGER." Zordon told them. Everyone began to worry as he continued. "SOMEONE IN ANGEL GROVE HAS DISCOVERED THE RANGERS."

"Wait…" Billy began, "Are you talking about Jasmine Romero?"

"Ayi-yi! So it IS true!" cried Alpha, Zordon’s helpful sidekick. Billy nodded. "Billy! How could you tell her?! I mean, we know you like her and all, but that was something we all made

a promise never to do!" Tanya shouted. Everyone, including Zordon and Alpha looked at Billy angrily. True, he was the only one left of the original rangers and had been there the longest, but that didn’t give him the right to blurt out their secret so easily.

"You think I told her? She figured it out! She was just about to explain it everything when you contacted me. I rushed here before she could explain." Billy said, defending himself.

"How could she have figured it out then? She’s been here for one day. The rest of the community doesn’t even have a clue and they have been investigating for years." Tommy replied, confused.

"I don’t know. But I intend to find out." Billy answered.

"RANGERS, THIS COULD BE VERY UNFORTUNATE IF THE SECRET OF YOUR POWER IS LEFT EXPOSED." Zordon reminded them. Billy sighed.

"We better go find Jasmine."

Jasmine sat at the bar in the Youth Center by herself. She treated herself to a drink and started going over some notes she had been given at school. Ernie walked over to her when he had a minute and started to make friendly conversation. "Hey, I’ve never seen you around here before. You’re new right?" he asked.

"Am I that obvious?" Jasmine said with a grin. "Yeah, I just moved here from New York."

Ernie chuckled. "Well, don’t worry little lady, Angel Grove is a great town. You’ll enjoy it here."

"It’s already starting to grow on me." She said back to him. Then, at that moment, Billy, Rocky, Adam, Tanya, Tommy and Katherine walked in together.

"Hey guys! How’s about a drink?" Ernie asked them as they walked up.

"Hi Ernie. No thanks. Mind if we talk to Jasmine for a minute?" Rocky asked. He grabbed Jasmine softly by the arm and pulled her outside towards the back of the Youth Center. "Jasmineee. You’ve got some splainin’ to dooo." Rocky joked. Billy sighed. Even at serious situations, Rocky still managed to be a dope.

"Alright, I know what this is about." Jasmine retorted.

"We’re listening." Tanya said, folding her arms across her chest.

"Well, the truth is, I just figured it out on my own. I thought it was so strange how you all just left me today at lunch and it was bothering me the whole day. When I got home, I turned on the news and it said the Power Rangers defeated another monster. The colors of the rangers matched the way Tanya, Adam, Rocky, Katherine and Tommy dress. But that wasn’t what gave it away. The fact that they appeared, right after you guys disappeared set me off, thus making sense why you all left me….Look, I promise not to say anything. My lips are sealed." She promised. The group all looked at her in amazement.

"Wow, you ARE smart." Rocky replied, causing her to smile.

"I just have one question. How come there are six of you and only five rangers?" she asked.

"Guys, I’ve got this one." Billy said, "Come with me Jazz."

Jasmine and Billy had been walking for two hours already. Billy had spilt out his whole ranger history. The ups, the downs, and how he felt at the moment. "Well, do you still feel like a part of the team?" she asked him.

"Of course. They never make me feel like I’m not one of them. I help them out as much as I can. Just, when they’re out on that battle field, losing, I want to help them in a different way so bad, but I can’t because I don’t have any powers." He confessed.

"Well, they haven’t lost yet." Jasmine replied, trying to help.

"I guess." Billy said. He stared at her.

"What?" she asked.

"I still can’t believe you figured us out." He stated, still in disbelief.

"Me neither. The whole time I was explaining it to you guys, I was thinking ‘what if I’m wrong?’ I would have felt so stupid!" She laughed. "Well it was a good thing I figured everything out. If I didn’t, I still would have thought you guys hated me."

"Hate you? Oh don’t worry, that will never happen." He said to her.

"Oh? Speak for yourself." she said back to him.

"I am."

It started to get dark and the two decided it was time to head home. When they reached Jasmine’s house, they walked to the porch. Jasmine sighed. "Déjà vu." she joked. Billy laughed. "I actually had more fun tonight. I like talking to you." she confessed.

"Yeah? I like talking to you too." Billy said. Jasmine reached into her pocket and pulled out a small white card. She handed it to him. "What’s this?" he asked.

"My phone number. Call me okay?" she said to him.

Billy smiled. "I’d be glad to."

"Goodnight, Billy."

"Night, Jasmine."

The week went by really fast for Jasmine. The weekend came up before she knew it. School was going great. She had made a lot of new friends and became closer with the rangers. She barely saw Billy in school, but he called her every night and they talked about everything. Their last conversation wandered towards the relationship factor. As Jasmine sat in her last period science class, she went over the conversation in her head. Billy had told Jasmine he had never been seriously involved, but had dated a lot of nice girls. "I never could relate to any of them." He had told her. Jasmine told him about all her boyfriends, including the one she most recently broke up. "We were together for a year and a half. Then, he changed. It was hard for me, but I didn’t obsess over it. I don’t really think I was in love with him. Besides, he couldn’t kiss very well." She remembered him laughing at that. She couldn’t help but like him more each time they spoke. It left her wondering if the feeling was mutual. Suddenly, the 8th period bell rang, interrupting her thoughts.

"Hey Jazz, what are you doing tonight?" Rocky asked her. They were practically in every class together and had become very close.

"Hmm, let’s see. I made plans with my television set, as well as the Chinese delivery boy and my couch. We’re gonna watch, eat and then after all that excitement, sleep. Think you can top that?" She said in a sarcastic tone.

"Ha! Let’s see. I was just going to go drive out to the fair, just outside Angel Grove with my buds. Nothing special." A sly grin spread across his face.

"Sounds like fun." Jasmine stated, jealous.

"Well, are you going to come or what?" Rocky demanded.

"Whoa, you have the weirdest way with invitations!" She joked. "I’ll be there." Just then, she felt a pair of strong hands grab her by her shoulders. She let out a shout and turned around. "Billy! You scared the crap outta me!" She shrieked. Billy and Rocky laughed and slapped hands. "Veery funny guys."

"Hey, I’m sorry. Just wanted to know if you needed a ride home." He said innocently.

"Okay, Rocky. I take that back. HE has the weirdest way with invitations."

Billy and Jasmine walked out to the parking lot together. He opened the door for her as she slipped inside. Five pairs of eyes watched them from a distance.

"So, are they like, dating now?" Tanya asked.

"I don’t think so. I know that they talk every night and they are both crazy about each other." Rocky answered.

"Then what’s the problem?" Tommy asked.

"Jasmine tells me it’s too soon. But I think she’s just saying that because Billy hasn’t made a move on her yet." Rocky added with a grin.

"Is she coming tonight?" asked Katherine.

"Yup." Rocky replied.

"Well then, let’s just see what happens." Adam sleekly replied.

"Pick you up at six?" Billy asked Jasmine as she exited the car.

"You betcha. See you then hun." She closed the car door and walked into her house. It was only three o’clock, but she knew how slowly and carefully she worked, so she started to get ready the moment she was inside her room. She picked out her outfit first. The weather was supposed to be moderate, so she decided on a pair of jeans that were cut off and frayed at the top and a blue knitted halter top that ended before the belly button. Just in case it started to get chilly, she brought her favorite bright blue Nautica fleece. "Hmm. Let’s see. What kind of shoes?" She thought about it, then decided on her blue, Nike Air Max sneakers. "Alright, Jazz. Goin’ for the blue." She laughed at the idea that she was talking to herself and gathered her towels, ready to get into the shower.

"Oo and where do you think you’re going?" Her mother asked, standing in her doorway.

"Fair." Jasmine answered.

"With?" Her mother questioned again.

"Friends." Was all that Jasmine replied back.

Maria wasn’t very comfortable letting Jasmine go out on her own with teenagers she didn’t know, but she knew she didn’t have much of a choice. Jasmine was a woman now. "What time?"

"Six. Look, Ma, I know you don’t want me going, but you know I’m a good kid. When have I ever gotten into any serious trouble? And when have I ever hung out with no-gooders?" She asked, trying to comfort her mom and keep her at ease.

"Have fun." Her mother said as she placed a kiss on Jasmine’s forehead. It was hard for her to see her daughter all grown up. With that, Jasmine jumped into the shower. She finally got out, forty-five minutes later. She combed her hair and sprayed on it "before blow-drying" hair products. She then, put her hair up with a clip and put on a short little bath dress to get ready in. She started on her make-up. A half an hour later, she was finished. She pulled out the hair dryer and snapped on the attachable comb. She straightened her hair and when it was done, she admired it in the mirror. "Damn, I’m good." Another half an hour had passed and she got dressed. She looked at herself in the full-length mirror and was pleased with what she saw. "Whoops! Forgot something." She went into her jewelry box and pulled out her small, cross earrings as well as six diamond studs. She put the crosses in her first holes and worked her way up, dressing her other five piercings with diamonds. She put on her cross necklace. Wow, Jasmine. Aren’t we looking very Christian today? She giggled at herself. On her left hand she put on her gold and silver ‘XoXo’ bracelet and diamond ring her friends had gotten her for her sixteenth birthday. On her right hand she put on her pink gold bracelet, as well as her pink gold ring, which featured three, small diamonds on the front. Then, she was finished. She looked at the clock. A quarter to six. Hm. I’ve got to entertain myself for fifteen minutes. The phone rang, just as she was looking for something to do.

"Hey Jazz, its Billy. It’s gonna take awhile to get there. Mind if I pick you up now? Everyone’s about ready to leave." Ahh, too perfect! Jasmine thought.

"Now is fine. I’ll be waiting outside." Jasmine hung up the phone and picked up her purse and fleece. She walked over to her father. "Daddy, I need money."

"Really? Me too." He joked.

"Come on Dad! Pleaseeee." She begged. Her father laughed and gave her a twenty-dollar bill. With that, she walked outside and waited for Billy to pick her up. She began to daydream. Billy and I on the Ferris wheel. He turns to look at me and wraps his arms around me. Then slowly brings me closer and---

"Awesome, you’re ready!" Billy shouted from his car that was now parked in her driveway. She had been so lost in her own world, she hadn’t even seen him pull up. She ran towards the car and hopped in. With that, they drove away, towards a night of excitement.

After the teens bought tickets, they all tried to decide what they would do first. "Well, I’m a sucker for rides, so I say we do that first. Besides, I don’t play the games. The guys can do that." Jasmine remarked. Her friends nodded and then the question came up of which ride to go on first.

"Let’s start with the one that’s closest." Rocky suggested. All teens stared in the direction of the "Pirate Ship". Katherine and Tanya turned green.

"I don’t think so…" Katherine started.

"Come on Kat! It’s not bad at all. It doesn’t even go upside down. Just swings side to side. It makes you think you’re going to flip, but you’re not." Tommy stated.

"Yeah, and Tanya-you have me to hold onto." Adam said smoothly.

"Oh gee, that’s a comfort." Tanya responded. The girl’s finally agreed and with that, they were on the line getting ready to go on the ride. When they finally got on, they filled up two rows of the ride. The ride didn’t have a ceiling and the night sky glowed brightly above them. The ride slowly started, the altitude getting higher with each move. The guys all shouted playfully as the ride began going higher. Soon, hands and arms were reaching up in the air, while Tanya and Kat were closing their eyes and screaming off the top of their lungs. Jasmine went against the rules and stood up in her seat, arms in the air.

"What are you doing???" Billy cried.

"Oh hush, it’s perfectly safe." She responded. When the ride ended, everyone got off with a rush.

"Well, I’m all hyped up." Jasmine stated.

"Yes. We all know this." Billy replied. Jasmine glared at him as a joke, then smiled.

"Alright. RIGHT now, restroom!" Tanya demanded.

Jasmine laughed. "I saw one before. Go down and make a right." Tanya and Kat followed Jasmine’s instructions and came back moments later, color drained from their faces. "Well that’s always nice." Jasmine joked.

"Why don’t we take it easy for awhile?" Billy suggested. Everyone nodded their heads in agreement.

"I know. Let’s get some FOOD." Rocky replied.

"Ha, I’m up for that." Jasmine agreed. With that, they all walk towards the food court to grab a bite to eat. After they had finished and digested their food, they decided to play some games.

"Hey, Billy." Tommy said to his friend, "Bet I can knock down more pins than you."

"You’re on." Billy replied. The two paid the gamekeeper and stood side by side, getting ready for the challenge. Kat and Jasmine walked over to them. Kat stood on one side of Tommy as Jasmine walked over to Billy’s side. Billy looked over at her and smiled to himself.

"Okay. You guys paid three dollars, so you get three balls. Three balls equals three throws. Three throws equal three possibilities to win. Got it?" the gamekeeper instructed.

"Hm…It’s a little hard to understand, but I think I’ll manage." Tommy joked.

"Shut up and throw the stupid ball kid." the gamekeeper snapped back.

Billy and Jasmine burst into laughter. "Well, I think he understands THAT!" Billy remarked. With that, both him and Tommy waited for their signal to throw. When it came up, both took their first shot. Tommy knocking down four pins, Billy, three.

"Go Tommy!" Kat shouted, "Only six more to go!"

"It’s harder than it looks." Tommy responded. Again, both guys waited for their second signal. When it came up, both threw the balls with much force. This time, Tommy only knocking down one pin and Billy knocking down two.

"Looks like we’re even man." Billy replied, "Just one more throw. Think you can handle it?"

Tommy chuckled. "Don’t get too cocky. I don’t want you to feel stupid when you lose." He joked playfully. The two setup position again. When they’re third signal came, they aimed for their target and let the balls fly. Tommy heard an enthusiastic female’s scream, and looked at the pins, hoping it had come from Kat. He had two pins remaining. He then looked at Billy’s. No pins were standing. "Aw man!" Tommy whined. He shrugged and turned to shake hands with Billy, when he noticed him hugging Jasmine. When they broke apart, the gamekeeper handed Billy his prize; a giant, stuffed white teddy bear with a red ribbon around its neck. Billy claimed his prize, then handed it over to Jasmine.

"You know, I always see this happen in movies. Big, macho guy wins a game and gives his prize over to the girl. Look, now this time it’s me!" Jasmine exclaimed. Everyone laughed.

"What now?" Tommy asked.

"I say we get Rocky and go on that roller coaster of there." Jasmine replied.

"Hey, I’m up for that." Tommy answered.

"I’m not." Kat stated, "But I’ll get Rocky and hold your stuff for you." She walked away and was back shortly with Rocky by her side.

"Alllright! I’ve been waiting all night to go on this!" Rocky said eagerly. Jasmine gave Kat her bear to hold and walked with Tommy, Rocky and Billy towards the roller coaster. When they got to the front, she linked with Billy to show she wanted to ride with him and together, they climbed into the small car. They got themselves strapped in tightly and waited for the ride to begin. It started off slowly as it moved upward. Then, suddenly, in the matter of seconds, the rides pace rapidly increased, surprising all the riders on it, resulting in screams and shouts. After three large drops and five flips, the four teens got off the ride in excitement. "Man, that was AWESOME!" Rocky shouted. They walked over towards their other three friends.

"Guys, I wanna go on the Ferris wheel." Tanya said.

"Okay. Let’s go then." Billy agreed.

"Nah. I’m going to the arcade to play some video games then. The Ferris wheel’s boring. I’ll meet you guys in ten in the front." Rocky stated. The rest of them made their way through the crowd to the Ferris wheel. When they made it to the front, they were given instructions.

"Two at a time." The worker said to them. Without thought, Jasmine grabbed a hold onto Billy’s hand. Adam and Tanya walked onto the platform and into the seat together. Tommy and Kat agreed with the arrangement, and then, took a hold of each other for the next cart. When it was their turn, Billy helped Jasmine up onto the platform and into the seat. The worker closed the door to the cart and smiled at them. "Romantic night, isn’t it?" He stated, grinning. A second later, Jasmine and Billy moved upwards.

"Who SAYS that??" Jasmine said in reply to the worker’s statement.

"Apparently, he does." Billy said back to her. Jasmine gave him a light, playful slap.

"Sooooo…what’s up?" She asked him.

Billy laughed. "Let me see….us?" Jasmine laughed back at him.

"I’m having a great time tonight Billy. Thank you." Jasmine said to him.

"Why do you always thank me whenever you have a good time?" Billy asked her.

"Because I have a good time whenever I’m with you." She replied back to him as she slipped her hand into his. He closed his hand and lightly squeezed hers.

"Aww, that’s SO sweet!" Billy and Jasmine looked up as they heard a female talking back to them.

"Tanya, stay out of their business!" Came another voice. Billy and Jasmine laughed.

"I’m getting tired already." Jasmine told him.

"Yeah, me too. We’ll go after this." Billy said to her. With that, Jasmine rested her head on his shoulder, closed her eyes, and enjoyed the rest of the relaxing ride.

They pulled up the Romero driveway at a quarter to eleven. Billy turned off the car, let himself out, walked around to the other side of the car, opened Jasmine’s door and helped her out. "A gentleman too I see." Jasmine replied with a grin.

Billy smiled. "Always." He walked her to the front door. She turned around and faced him.

"Well, this happens a lot, doesn’t it?" She stated.

"Yes it does." Billy agreed.

"Have a good night…and THANKS!" Jasmine joked. Billy laughed. "You too." Jasmine placed a hand on Billy’s chest, leaned over and gave him a kiss on the cheek. She barely pulled away, when she felt Billy’s hands on her waist. They stood face to face, and looked into each other’s eyes. Then slowly, Billy pulled Jasmine closer and placed a tender kiss on her lips. He started out very lightly and slowly. Jasmine felt his hands travel higher onto her back and his kisses became more intense and passionate. Her hands caressed his neck and shoulders, when finally, their kiss ended and both took time to catch their breath.

"Wow." Was all Jasmine managed to say.

"Yeah, that was definitely wow-worthy." Billy said back to her.

Jasmine nodded. "Now that deserves a thank you." Billy softly took her by the hand and gave her a gentle kiss on the cheek.

"Goodnight." He said to her. He watched her disappear into the house, walked to his car and drove away. . Dear my girls,
What up? I’m sending this letter to Fallon because I know she’ll show it to all of you guys. Instead of writing five different letters, I made it easier for me and just wrote one. I miss you guys SO much. I’ve been here for about a week and a half. I’m sorry I can only call you guys once every two weeks. The bill is crazy, you have no idea. I have to buy some phone cards. Anyways, guess what? I met somebody. His name is Billy and he is so perfect. You guys would like him so much, especially you Kristina. I’ve been hanging out with a group of people. There are six of them, two girls and four guys. It’s so weird, EVERYONE is good-looking around here. Devin, I swear, it’s like a dream. You’d go nuts. I’m really liking it here. School’s a little more fun. It’s huge, let me tell you! And we thought East was big. Lot’s of school spirit. I’ve actually been getting into arts and crafts, which is really weird for me. Ashley, you’d love it. I have almost all my classes with this goofball, Rocky. He’s so funny and fun to be around. He’s not seeing anyone either. Shannon, he’d be perfect for you. You both are insane! I’m not singing at all lately. I miss it, but one of the girls I hang out with is a singer. It seems like it’s her thing y’know? I don’t want to interfere with anything. But at home, I’m always singing. Just like we used to do, right Faith? I like it here, but I want to come back home. I miss New York, but most of all, I miss you guys. I never take my ring off. All right, I’m going to stop writing before I get all hysterical. I love you guys sooooo much!
~Jasmine

Jasmine put down her pen, put her face in her pillow and cried. She had almost forgotten how much she missed home. She missed her friends more than anything. When she calmed down, she sealed the envelope of the letter and walked outside to put it in her mailbox. She heard her dogs barking from the backyard. I’ll take Rusty for a walk. Get some fresh air. She said to herself. She walked around to the back, grabbed a long black leash and hooked it onto the Rottweiler’s collar. Her other dog looked up at her with big, brown puppy eyes. "Next time, Domino. I promise." She said, patting her on the head. She walked out the back gate and breathed in the air. Everything’s going to be okay. She assured herself, as she set out to the park with her trusty companion.

When she made it to the park, she noticed that it was pretty empty. That didn’t bother her though. She sat down on a bench and took a break. Suddenly, she saw a beam of what looked like lightning, crash down right in front of her. She saw it hit her dog an
