It will explain the time between when I was a young hero till the time I found the Power Coin. This episode is the last episode of this series. It tells of my trip to LA to see Boy Meets World and what happened after. (See Auction and The Motion Picture) The only part that wasn’t true was that in the story I went to LA earlier so I could stay in the time frame of Rangers in Space. However I didn’t go until March of 99, but I wrote the Auction in October of 98. And the other thing is that trip to Angel Grove to get the coin, of course you knew that; didn’t you?

This is written in 1st person.

Boy Meets World and Beyond
By Lamont Stewart

I raced though the airport in Vandalia, looking at my watch, hoping I wasn’t late.

When I got to the place where you board the plane, they were still there. I went to the desk and gave them my buddy pass. After they asked I told them that I would prefer a window seat. I went and got a magazine and read it while waiting for boarding.

A man said, "Seats in the Back may now board."

I was seating near the front so I waited. After what seemed like forever, I boarded the plane.

After the plane lecture, and the take off, I took out my Novel that I had been writing, and after that I took out of my back a page I’d printed off of the net. It was an outline page of this Power Ranger fanfiction site. It told the short summaries of each story. (HA Ha)

As the plane neared Pittsburgh I saw the plane as it went to the ground. The houses seemed like dollhouses.

I walked around the airport. The mere size compared to the one at Vandalia was astonishing. I walked ½ way around the place; it seemed like it was in a circle. I past what looked like flat escalators. I rode one of them, but then hurried up, because I didn’t have much time. I walked to the desk, and did the same thing I did back at Vandalia. So I was on my way to Los Angels.

The flight was quicker then I thought. I ate Meterianen Chicken which was good and the on board movie was Enemy of the State. Then I landed 60 minutes earlier then I’d thought. I laughed as I remembered that my mom thought it would only take two hours to go from Pittsburgh to LA. She didn’t take in the fact of time zones.

If I thought the Pittsburgh Airport was huge compared to the Dayton International Airport. Pittsburgh was like a bug to LAX. I ate at McDonalds, and walked around the terminal. I circled the area five times and called home twice. I knew I was an hour early, but now they were fifteen minutes late. I was going to go to the other boarding site where another visitor in our group was coming from, but I couldn’t seem to find it.

I walked back to where I got of my plane, when a voice said, "Are you Lamont?"

I turned around, and looked at the girl who said it. It was Krysta I’d recognized her from her picture off the net. I said, "Yes, Krysta."

Krysta said, "That’s right."

She introduced her friend, and we went to pick her other friend up. It was then I knew why I couldn’t find her flight earlier. LAX has three terminals. I was in Terminal three and she was in #1. We got her and went to the hotel.

We had a big day and I retired to bed about 1:00 am. Before I went down I saw news program of the appearance of the Lightstar Rangers’ new Megazord. The Voyager Megazord is what they called it. I remembered my adventures in the 2nd, 4th, and 6th grades. I turned off the TV and closed my eyes saying, "Boy I wish I could be a Power Ranger too."

~*~

The next day, we ate breakfast, but then had to move to another hotel, because the current one was too expensive. After we found one, we discovered that we would all have to stay in one room, four girls and one guy. I’d sleep in the floor and there were two girls to a bed. But first we would go to the CBS studio to see what I came to California to see; Boy Meets World.

On the way to the studio, the radio program that we were listing to was interrupted by an important broadcast. It was talking about the new Silver Ranger that had appeared.

I pulled out a mini-TV and watched the action on it, while Krysta was watching over my shoulder.

All the Rangers were fighting a praying mantis type creature. Then it grew, and just as we all thought the Rangers were finished, the Silver Ranger flew by on his galaxy glider, slicing the monster.

That gave the other Rangers time to call on the Astro-Delta Megazord and fire it’s flying fist weapon at the creature wounding it, but not destroying it.

Then they called on the Mega Voyager, and fired the V-3 Missile Mode, which destroyed the monster. Then the Silver Ranger went by the screen as the power went out in the TV.

Krysta said, "I wonder if he’s cute?"

I said, "I don’t know, no one knows what the Rangers look like and I doubt they ever will, let alone me."

Krysta said, "OK forget I asked."

I watched out the window, reconfirming my wish to be a Power Ranger some day. I pulled a pink crystal out of my pocket. It was the same crystal from my battle with Magical-El-Play ten years earlier.

We got to the studio and walked around, and then it was time to watch the show. It was awesome, the cast talked to us, and we had singing and talent contests in the audience. The episode was about how Mister Fenny got married. I laughed, as they had to do scenes again and again. Then a big surprise, the person that played Eric’s little brother in the Big Brother program. Krysta got his autograph.

After the show, we went back to the hotel and slept.

~*~

The next day, two of the girls and I took a tour of Hollywood and we saw all the sights, and I bought some souvenirs like I had promised my friends. We also saw a movie at the Chinese Theatre called "Cruel Intentions".

After we left, there was a talk outside. "There is an auction about an hour from here."

"Where?"

"In Angel Grove."

"The city of the Power Rangers?"

"That’s right."

I turned to my two older companions and said, "That sounds fun. Do you want to go?"

They agreed and off we went.

Along the way I thought about how I got to this city. If my friend hadn’t betrayed me, I wouldn’t have gone to Miami Valley Career Technology Center, meet Renee and learned about the Internet. Which meant I would never of activated an e-mail address and long on to the ABC message board. Then I would of never met Krysta here and made it to Los Angels.

When we got there, the auction was half over, but there was still some good stuff there. I waited until there was something that looked interesting, then I saw it. I box about 200 years old. It was a small, blue box, with a padded lock. The key was made out of stainless steel, and was laid on top of the box.

The auctioneer said, "Ten Dollars, do I hear ten. How about twenty, thirty, fifty, do I hear $100."

I said, "$100."

Someone else said, "$999.99"

I said, "Man, you’re not one for fun. $1,000"

"Sold!" The auction guy said, "Who should I label this for."

I said, "Label it for Lamont Stewart."

I took the box back to Los Angels to study it more. Little did I know that the contents of that box would change my life, at least for the time being.

I got back to the small hotel that I was staying at, and decided to open up the box. After the girls left, I broke the lock, and flipped up the lid to see a coin.

"A coin," I said. "I spent $1,000 on a coin."

The End

I go°S
