Trip to Aquitar
By Frog
By Frog
"Greetings, my friends," spoke Delphine formally as she welcomed Tommy, Aisha, Adam, Rocky, and Tanya to the Aquitar Ranger's command center deep within Aquitar's main capital of Aster.
"Greetings, Delphine. It is good to see you again," Tommy told her in his most regal voice.
"Where's Billy?" Rocky questioned with curiosity.
"He is in the astral lab with Cestro, if you will follow me I shall take you to him," she replied to Rocky's inquiry.
"What about our luggage?" Tanya asked.
"Your bags have already been teleported to your quarters before your arrival, Tanya. If you will please follow me, I shall take you to Billy," she requested of the former Rangers.
As they went out the door and through the winding corridors, Tommy questioned the Leader of the Aquitar Rangers, "Is everything ready for the quest, Delphine?"
"It is as you requested, my lord," she answered.
"My lord?' the questioning thought went through the minds of Tommy's teammates.
As if he were reading their minds, Tommy spoke to his friends, "All will be explained soon guys."
"Billy, it's good to see you again!" shouted Aisha as she raced up to hug her former teammate.
"It's good to see you too, Aisha!" exclaimed Billy.
As greetings and hugs were given to Billy and Cestro, Rocky asked of the former Blue Ranger, "Where's your fiancee, Billy?"
"She has her hands full at the moment with the Red Astro Ranger and the one who is now called the Phantom Ranger," Billy replied with a bright smile on his face.
Tommy raised a questioning eyebrow and asked, "The Red Astro Ranger is here as well?"
"Yes, and they now both know about that stupid bet Trey and Dex made together. Naturally, the Red Astro Ranger is furious with them, however the Phantom Ranger is so much in love, he doesn't care about a silly bet. Oh, Tommy! Cestria asked me to pass a message for you, she doesn't appreciate the situation you put her in with the Phantom Ranger," Billy told his former leader.
"You know?" Tommy asked, ignoring the statement about Cestria and the Phantom Ranger.
"Affirmative, I need to go through the rites to marry Cestria anyway," he replied.
"Would someone please tell the rest of us what you're both talking about?" Adam asked, becoming exasperated with his two friends.
Tommy sighed, "It's a long story, and I've only recently learned about it when we passed our powers to the next generation. "It began ..." explained Tommy.
Twenty-Years Ago.........
"What was that?" questioned Sarah Trueheart out loud as drove down the desert highway with her one-year old son, David. She was returning from the burial grounds after placing flowers on her husband's grave, when she heard a loud crash within the desert mountains off of the highway. 'Well, I might as well find out what it is,' she thought as she drove off the highway toward the sound of the crash. When she got out to the site of the crash, she gasped in amazement as she caught her first glimpse of the spacecraft. A young man stumbled out of the wreck; Sarah cautiously climbed out of the car and approached the strange man.
As she drew closer to the man, the strange visitor softly asked, "Help me, please."
"Of course, how can I help you?" she questioned him while thinking at the same time, 'For an alien, he's quite handsome! Such a strong build, he's hair is the color of the sky while his eyes is color of the sandy desert about us!'
"Take me to my father, I shall give you the directions," he softly told the Earth woman whom he couldn't help thinking that she was very beautiful with long dark hair, bronze skin, a delicate build, and brown eyes. 'Ironic, I come to find my father; instead I seem to have found my soul mate,' he thought to himself.
The Present......
"Some how my mother managed to get my father, D'ruan to his father Zordon. A monster known as Darkonda brought down my father's ship, as the months past my parents fell in love and went through the I'unz ceremony before Zordon; The I'unz ceremony is a form of engagement to be wed on Eltar," explained Tommy.
"That's when you were conceived, after the ceremony, right?" questioned Billy with amusement.
Tommy glared at his friend and answered, "Yes, however my father had to return to Eltar to make arrangements for my mother before the wedding. My mother and David stayed with Zordon while D'ruan returned home, but Darkonda's ship was waiting for him on the return to Eltar. This time Darkonda managed to kill my father before he even returned to Eltar. Zordon knew it was only a matter of time before he came after my mother, so they faked Sarah's death and left David to be raised by Sarah's father-in-law, Sam Trueheart. A year later, I was born, however there were complications with my birth and Sarah died soon after I was born."
Everyone was quiet after Tommy spoke of his mother's death, finally Tanya asked, "How does this make you a lord, Tommy?"
He softly replied, "Zordon was the second son of the King of Eltar; when he became trapped in the time wrap, D'ruan gained his father's title. Since I've become of age and will go through the rites of adulthood I will gain the title Lord Councilor of Eltar with all the powers that come with it."
Rocky whistled in surprise, "So, you're a prince!" he exclaimed.
"Yes, you could say that, the current King of Eltar is my great-uncle and his grandson, the crown-prince is my second-cousin," Tommy told his friends.
"So, why bring us here and tell us, instead of on Earth?" Adam questioned his former leader.
"Recently a great threat has emerged, his name is Dark Spectre; Zordon fears that soon he will try to conquer Eltar. Zordon would like all of us to go through the rites of adulthood that all Power Rangers who are fully-grown in the Power have the choice to take. It's too dangerous to do it on Earth because Divatox will know instantly what is going on, once we go through the rites of adulthood our morphing power will be permanent," explained Tommy.
Tommy's friends with the exception of Billy looked at him in wonder and curiosity. "So, if we go through these rites our morphing powers will be permanent?" questioned Tanya to both Billy and Tommy.
"Affirmative, we will become like Zordon, Ninjor, Dimitria, and the Aquitar Rangers, inter-dimensional beings," replied Billy.
"Will we still look human if we go through this?" Rocky asked with curiosity.
"Yes, Rocky. Remember what Zordon told us when he was explaining what Power Rangers are exactly? Power Rangers are one race, yet every race," responded Tommy to the question Rocky gave.
There was silence for a moment, then as one Adam, Rocky, Aisha, and Tanya stated, "All right, when do we begin?"
Cestria, the Pink Ranger of Aquitar sighed with sadness as she pondered how in the universe she gotten into the predicament she was in; she was helping the Phantom Ranger choose a gift for his true love on Earth at the same time she was trying to calm down Andros, the Red Astro Ranger who unexpectedly joined them after finding out about the ridiculous bet that Lord Trey and Prince Dex made a few years ago.
"How in the universe can you be so calm? Trey and Dex choose to bet on our personal lives!" exclaimed Andros.
"I agree with you that they shouldn't have done that, and I have faith that the Power shall give them a hard time when they are choosing a wife. However, at the moment I truly don't care, Andros. What do you think of this Quadros robe, Cestria?" asked a morphed Phantom Ranger calmly as he held up a silken pink one-piece robe with golden flowers inscribed on it.
"I believe that would be an appropriate wedding gift, not a gift for one's birth, Phantom. Andros, you are correct in your assumption that Lord Trey and Prince Dex shouldn't have made the bet. However, the Phantom is correct in the assumption that the Power shall make that bet to become true," Cestria told the two Rangers with exasperation in her voice.
"I still say we should challenge Dex and Trey to a A'is match," muttered Andros in angry.
"Andros, we really don't need to challenge them to a A'is match, the Power shall fulfill the bet," replied Phantom as he put down the Quadros robe and gave Andros his full attention.
"That's what I'm afraid of, my life is just fine the way it is! I don't need a female!" exclaimed Andros.
"There are certain advantages to having a female of your own Andros," spoke Phantom softly as he pictured the day he and Cassie went through the I'unz ceremony.
Andros turned a deep red as he caught the meaning of Phantom's statement, "I don't want to know any further than that Phantom, if you and the Pink Ranger of Earth are having an affair it is your business," Andros told his mysterious friend.
Cestria and Phantom both gave Andros a furious glare, finally Cestria announced in a tone of resentment, "Andros have you forgotten that Eltarians don't have casual affairs! The only time when they first make love is when he or she has gone through the I'unz ceremony with the one they have chosen to wed!" exclaimed Cestria.
Andros looked sheepishly at the Phantom Ranger and told him in an apologetic tone, "Please forgive me, my friend. My anger over Trey and Dex has momentarily clouded my judgment."
"I forgive you, my friend. Now let's us try to find a birthday gift for my beloved, do you have any suggestions Andros?" questioned Phantom.
Andros shrugged and replied, "Perfume, Zhane always told me if you want to really impress a woman give her perfume."
"I don't believe..." Cestria started to say when Phantom interrupted her with a wave of his hand.
"Perfume! There is a little shop down the end of this street!" exclaimed Phantom with excitement as he and Andros raced toward the store.
Cestria sighed with frustration and silently thought, 'Thomas Oliver, as they say on Earth, you owe me big time! Your cousin and Andros are driving me mad!'
"Let me get this straight, Tommy. We drink this stuff and have an out of body experience?" questioned Rocky with concern as he look at the white slimy liquid that Delphine handed him in a jeweled goblet.
"That is not quite how it is Rocky, your souls shall leave your bodies to stand in the presence of one of the Council of Light; at the same time your bodies shall undergo a physical change inside a crystallized cocoon," explained Cestro to the anxious young man.
"You still have time to change your mind Rocky, former Rangers aren't required to go through this," Billy told his friend in concern.
"No, if the fate of the universe is at stake, I'll go through with it," Rocky told his friends with determination.
"Very well, Rocky, if that is your final decision let us begin. Through time and space all Rangers are offered this choice of ascension into the Light! May the Power protect you as you journey to the Council member of your natural color within the grid! By the Power above drink and awaken to a new world of possibilities!" Delphine commanded the former Rangers in a very formal as the drunk the slimy, white liquid that she gave to them.
As they finished drinking, the goblets in their hands crashed to the floor as they went into what appeared to be a coma; suddenly they're bodies seem to change into a hardened crystal, when the transformation was complete you could barley see their bodies in the diamond shaped, crystal cocoons. As the two Aquitar Ranger looked at their friends within the cocoons, Cestro asked, "Do you believe they shall succeed Delphine?"
"Zordon has taught them well my friend, have faith in his wisdom; I have high hopes they shall succeed beyond expectations," Delphine replied to her comrade with confidence.
Tommy looked around the sandy desert he apparently found himself in; suddenly he heard a cold voice speaking to him, "Hello, Tommy." Turning around he gasped in amazement at the sight of the evil Green Ranger.
"It can't be, the Green Ranger died a long time ago and my clone remained in early Angel Grove!" he exclaimed.
The Green Ranger chuckled with cruelty and softly stated, "I shall always be a part of you Tommy, why don't you return to the dark side of the Power? You can have anything you want from the Dark, Tommy."
"No! The only thing the dark side brings is death, pain, and sorrow! The dark side has nothing to offer me!" Tommy shouted with a furious rage.
"What of Kimberly? Through the darkness you can gain the girl of your dreams, Tommy,"spoke the Green Ranger, tempting the young man and shocking him into complete silence.
Rocky looked around his dojo in amazement, "A member of the Council of Light is here? I know that the Council members are supposed to be long dead Power Rangers or Morphin Masters, but why meet me in my dojo?" he questioned out loud. Suddenly, the door to his dojo opened to revel his sister Rebecca DeSantos, Rocky stared in amazement as she marched up to him and slapped him in the face.
"Hey, what was that for?" he asked in astonishment.
"For ruining my life! How could you? Selling me off as a bride for your good friend!" she shouted in a rage of fire.
"What friend?" Rocky questioned the person who claimed to be his sister.
"Trey of Triforia! Apparently you both decided I would make a perfect Queen of Triforia and Silver Zeo Ranger!" she exclaimed in a great anger, as Rocky was struck dumb with astonishment.
Adam walked through the gate of his grandfather's garden; his grandfather was Yamaga Toku, a master samurai in the art of Bushido the ancient moral code of Japan. As he walked further into the garden in noticed his grandfather was kneeling by the fish pound in the traditional samurai white robes of suicide. Adam raced toward his grandfather and shouted, "Grandfather! What are you doing?"
"That should be obvious to you my child, I am about to commit Hari Kari," he softly told Adam as he held a short, traditional Japanese blade toward his abdomen.
"But why?" questioned Adam with concern.
"I've been diagnose with prostate cancer child, and I have no wish to suffer or cause the family pain. I rather die with honor, then as a sickly child in a hospital bed," Yamaga Toku told his grandson in a firm voice. Adam grew silent with shock and sadness at his grandfather's words.
Billy stood by the hospital bed of his father, 'This isn't right, my father is alive and well on Earth,' he thought to himself as he looked at what apparently was his father hooked up to a life support machine.
"Mr. Cranston?" said a voice behind him, as he turned around he noticed it was a old doctor with a medical chart in his hand.
"Yes, what is wrong with my father? What happened to him?" he questioned with concern.
"I'm regret being the one telling you this, but you father was in a motorcycle accident. He was brought here and hooked up to a life support machine, however there is nothing we can do to help him, he is brain dead," the doctor told the young man. Billy choked up with sadness, and was about to thank the doctor for all that he had done when the doctor spoke up to him, "Mr. Cranston, I know your suffering with grief, however have you considered donating your father's organs? They could help save some lives, and the families of those people wouldn't have to go through the grief you are in at the moment." Billy stared at his father as he considered the doctor's request; he pondered what his father would do if the situation were reversed.
Aisha stood in the open doorway to her grandmother's house with the antique heart necklace she was given around her neck. 'What am I doing here? My grandmother died a long time ago and her house was sold after her death,' she thought to herself as she stepped into the house. She gasped with astonishment as she saw her grandmother being held by gunpoint by a masked robber.
"Hold it right there, lady! Or the old bimbo gets it!" he shouted to the frightened young woman.
"Please let my grandmother go!" Aisha exclaimed with fear for her grandmother's life.
"Oh, I will! But hand over that lovely necklace of yours first!" command the robber as he tightened his hold on the gun that was pointing at her grandmother's heart. Aisha gulped with fright and disgust on the choice she must make, the necklace or her grandmother's life.
Tanya walked into her old village in Africa where she grew up; she was startled to find that an ancient war dance was going on in the center of town. Stepping into the center of the dance, she shouted, "What's going on? Why are you preparing for war?"
"Tanya, it is good to see you again child. We are preparing to go to war on a neighboring village because if we do not they will most certainly attack us in the near future," stated Aikiai, Chief of her adopted tribal village.
"But, why?" questioned Tanya with curiosity over why her village was going to do this horrible thing.
"Because we must, besides they have better grazing grounds then we have. Will you join us in this great act of honor, Tanya?" he asked of the young woman. Tanya stared in astonishment at the tribal chief, she couldn't believe this peace loving man she knew in her youth, wanted to make war with a neighboring village.
Cestria groaned with relief as she returned to the Aquitian Rangers' Command Center without the Phantom or Andros, her uncle Cestro was waiting for her in the reception room. As she stepped into the room he asked of her, "Were you successful in helping the Phantom Ranger to choose a gift for his beloved?"
"Yes, he finally decided to give her a M'iun pendent. Uncle, would it upset you greatly if Billy and I exchange our vows after he completes his rites?" she questioned her elder relative.
Cestro widen his eyes in surprise, "I have no objection, my niece. But, what of Billy? You should discuss it with him first?" he questioned his sister's child with astonishment.
"Billy and I, discussed it before his comrades arrived on Aquitar, we would liked to be married before the war that Zordon prophesied of comes true," she replied to his questions with determination in her heart.
"Very well, we shall go speak to Delphine of your and Billy's decision. However, another Ranger leader must also do the ceremony with Delphine; since Billy is a former Earth Ranger and we will be bonding the two Ranger teams through your marriage to Billy, my niece," Cestro told his younger relative with authority.
"Thomas, I believe, will be honored to help Delphine with the ceremony. Particularly, since I have been helping his cousin most of the day, my uncle," she replied to Cestro with a touch of anger in her voice.
Cestro tried not to smile as he asked, "Was the Phantom Ranger and the Red Astro Ranger difficult to deal with my niece?"
"Difficult is an understatement," she muttered with frustration.
"No! I won't join the darkness in order to gain Kimberly! Kimberly's happiness is more important than my selfish needs! If she is happy with someone else, then I won't stand in her way!" Tommy shouted to the being that claimed to be the Green Ranger.
The Green Ranger stood silent for a moment, then the being whispered, "Congratulations, my son. You passed the test of the Council." Then, before Tommy's very eyes, the Green Ranger changed into a young man with blue hair and golden eyes.
"Father?" questioned Tommy softly as he looked at the spirit who could have been his double with the exception of the ghost's hair and eyes.
"Oh, my son! Your adoptive parents and your grandfather have raised you well! I only wish I could have been alive to help bring up such a fine young man!" the spirit of D'ruan exclaimed to his son as he stared proudly at his offspring.
Tommy blushed underneath his father's gaze and muttered, "Zordon didn't tell me until after the power transfer, father. I wish he told me sooner about you and mother."
D'ruan's gaze soften as he told his son in sad voice, "The reason he didn't tell you earlier was for your own safety; if Lord Zedd, Rita, or any other of the villains in the universe realized you were Zordon's grandson before he could properly train you in your powers, you would have been killed! He did it for your own protection my son, while he taught you politics, history, philosophy, fighting techniques, diplomacy..."
"And magic," he added to his father's dialogue.
"Yes, magic. I know it is hard for you to admit your talents in that particular area; I blame Rita for making you have this fear of using magic, but it is a part of you my son," D'ruan told his son softly.
"I realize that father, and grandfather has been successfully in helping me over come my fear, it's just that..." Tommy tried to admit to his father of his feelings in the area of magic.
"You wish to be cautious, I understand and you will be a better wizard because of it. Now let us talk of your new powers, my son. Then, we will talk of other things such as your mother, my life, and Kimberly," D'ruan teased his son with a smile when he mentioned the love of Tommy's life.
Blushing a deep red, Tommy thought it best to quickly change the subject, "Will I still have Saba?" he asked of the ghost.
"Yes, and don't think I'm going to let the subject of this young woman dropped so easily, my son," he told Tommy in a commanding tone of voice. Tommy sighed with regret, and prepared himself for his father's lecture.
Rocky looked at his sister in shock and then he replied to her accusation with the truth, "Sis, I have no idea what your talking about! The only thing I asked of Trey was to take over my classes while I was gone, and keep you safe!"
"Safe, from what?" she questioned her brother in a fire of fury.
"Rebecca, you will do anything to get a story, even get in the middle of battles between the Power Rangers and the current monster that is attacking the city. I just wanted you to be safe because you're my sister and I love you," Rocky told her softly.
"So, you knew nothing about this marriage deal with Trey?" Rebecca asked as her anger slowly evaporated.
"No, the only thing I know of that is the stupid bet Trey made with Dex. If you're chosen by the Power as the Silver Ranger and the future Queen of Triforia, it's news to me. However, when you're a Power Ranger as long as I have been, you learn there is such a thing as destiny and there is no way you can refuse the Powers that be over what is chosen for you to do," Rocky told his sister as calmly as he could without losing his temper.
"I am pleased that you think so highly of the Power child, oh, you passed the test of the Council of Light by the way," the being who was Rebecca told Rocky as she change into her true form; a humanoid cat like creature with red eyes and a coat of black fur.
"Your not my sister," Rocky stated as he gazed at the cat-like specter.
"Meor, no. My name is Riner, and I was the Red Ranger of Cethia. However what happened during the testing doesn't mean it won't happen, young Ape," she told him calmly as she gazed at him with understanding eyes.
"What do you mean?" Rocky asked, although he had a suspicion he already knew the answer deep inside of his heart.
"It means I would prepare myself of what is ahead when you return to Earth. You're quite lucky not many Rangers have made it as far as you and your companions have; I was killed in battle during my first year as a Ranger," she told him with a sad sigh.
Rocky looked at the dead Ranger with astonishment and asked, "You were killed during you're first year?"
Riner waved a paw at him, "It's a long story, sufficient to say my Ranger team sacrificed our lives, so the population of my planet could escape the Machine Empire. My people have been safe on a new world with for a billion of your years now. However, there is no Ranger team on the planet, yet. Before your first Ranger team was born, there were a small number of Power Rangers being born and even fewer Morphin Masters. You and your comrades are the first to be born two million years! What is it you call it on Earth? Ah, yes! You are part of a baby boom of Power Rangers, hopefully it will continue for quite a long time! Now, to business..." Riner told the young Ranger as she began to give him a lecture on his new powers.
"Grandfather, please don't do this there is no honor to commit suicide this way," Adam told his grandfather softly with a voice filled with sadness.
"My child, I have lived my life. What else do I have left to offer the world?" Yamaga Toku asked of his grandson.
"You have your wisdom to give to me and others around you grandfather; as for the cancer were you not the one who taught me that if a battle has a chance to be won don't give up? Prostate cancer is a battle that is true, but you have a chance to conquer it grandfather. Please don't give up without at least trying to win grandfather," he pleaded to the wise, old man with desperation.
Yamaga Toku remained silent for a moment, and then he spoke crystal bell voice, "Congratulations, young frog! You have passed the challenge of the Council of Light." Adam gasped in wonder as the spirit who claimed to be his grandfather changed into what appeared to be a giant lizard. The lizard gave him a sneaky smile at the shock on Adam's face and then he assured the young man, "Have no fear, I won't bite. My name in life was Tanines of Anies, I knew your mentor Zordon quite well in life."
"You know Zordon?" Adam asked in astonishment.
"Of course! He was an exchange Ranger for five years on my team. He wasn't always a serious being; he had a sense of humor when he was young! The things I could tell you when he was your age! He pulled a number of practical jokes and the situations he got himself into! I'm surprised he managed to make it as a Morphin Master!" exclaimed Tanines as he remembered the distant past. "What kind of situations?" questioned Adam with curiosity in his voice.
"Oh, he was always willing to take on a great number of monsters by himself; took a lot of unnecessary risks in battle; he even went to battle when he was extremely tired or sick! I always told him that I wished one day he would have a student as bad as he was with us at the time. Heh, heh, it's quite ironic that my wish came true through his grandson," he told Adam as he laughed out loud with amusement.
Adam tried not to laugh as he too thought of Zordon and Tommy during the 'disagreements' between the two of them. "Yeah, Zordon and Tommy have had loud conversations when Tommy wanted to do something and Zordon thought he was going to kill himself doing it," Adam mentioned to Tanines as he tried to control his chuckles.
"Hah! I bet the conversations were indeed loud, I recall the same loud conversations between Zordon and my leader Quiros. Well, enough reminiscing! I have a lot to tell you of your new powers!" exclaimed Tanines as he went into a lengthy explanation.
Billy started at his father who was hooked up to the life support machine, finally he looked up and spoke to the old doctor who was standing beside him, "All right, if my father's organs can save a life and prevent someone's family going through the pain I'm currently going through, then let's do it."
The wise doctor looked at the young man and asked, "Are you certain about this?"
Billy gave a deep, sad sigh and replied, "I'm certain."
The doctor smiled at the young man and with a flash of light he changed into a very old Aquitian. "Very good, Billy! You have passed the test of the Council of Light!" he exclaimed to the young Ranger in a voice filled with joy.
"Thank you, may I please ask for your name? For it is certain you're already acquainted with mine," questioned Billy to the ancient Aquitian.
The old spirit smiled and replied, "My name in life was Estro, young wolf."
"Cestro's great-grandfather, I am honored to meet you," spoke Billy formally to the ancient specter as he gave the traditional Aquitar greeting to his fiancee's ancestor.
"The honor is mine, I am quite pleased that such a kind and wise young man shall be part of my family upon this day in your time," Estro happily told the young Ranger.
Billy blinked in surprise, and then he began to get a clear suspicion of what was going on in the outside world, "T'ner and Andros, correct?" he questioned the spirit.
"Correct, as well as Cestria's impatience to begin as you humans put it the honeymoon," spoke Estro as Billy blushed a deep red of embarrassment mixed with passion over his future wife.
"Come, let us speak of your new powers, then you may soon join your bride in the binding ceremony," he told Billy as he began the discussion on the powers Billy would receive.
Aisha trembled with fear as she saw her grandmother held at gunpoint, "All right, just chill! I'll give you the necklace," she told the gunman. As she handed the necklace to the gunman, he shoved her aside and raced out the door with the precious heirloom. Aisha raced toward her grandmother, who was trembling with shock on the floor.
"Aisha, you shouldn't have given him the necklace," whispered her grandmother with grief.
"Your life is more important than the necklace, Grandma," she said as her voice trembled with relief and despair.
Aisha's grandmother smiled as she stood up with the young woman's help, "Well done, child. You passed the test of the Powers that Be," she told the former Yellow Ranger as she changed from an old woman to a tall blue skin woman with white hair and elfin ears. As she gazed at Aisha with her emerald eyes, she spoke to the young woman with a soft voice, "My name in life Ikia of Danieza, I was the Yellow Ranger and a healer of my people."
Aisha looked at her with astonishment, "I studied about you under my mentor Zordon, he said you were the one of the greatest Ranger healers in the universes!" exclaimed Aisha.
Ikia turned a deep green in her face, "Zordon was exaggerating quite a bit, and I passed on well before his time. How do you know of me in the first place? I assumed Earth was under a non-interference policy," she questioned Aisha.
Now it was Aisha's turn to blush, "Well, the only way the Intergalactic Council would even consider us as Rangers and non-primitive was for Zordon to give us an Eltarian education. It was really strange to be raised in two different education systems, Earth and Eltar," she replied to Ikia's question.
"Ah, I quite had forgotten about that. Even spirits tend to forget things, now let's us discuss your new abilities," she addressed the young woman as she began to describe Aisha's new powers.
"No!" I won't join you in this dishonorable act!" shouted Tanya to her old friend Aikiai, chief of the tribe of where she grew up in Africa.
"What! Tanya there is no dishonor in gaining land!" exclaimed Aikiai in astonishment over Tanya's answer.
"Yes, there is! Take and conquer has no honor, weak of soul and mind! If you go through with this dishonorable act all you gain is darkness in your own soul and greed to conquer more land. The land itself shall be torn, until there is nothing left to fight for! Nothing for your children's children!" bellowed Tanya as she argued against Aikiai's idea of going to war.
"Is this your final decision, Tanya?" question Aikiai in a commanding tone of voice.
"Yes, this is my final choice!" exclaimed Tanya.
"Then, congratulations! You passed the challenge of the Council of Light," Aikiai told the young woman as he changes into a bird like humanoid before Aisha's eyes.
"My life-name was Hreon of Fayisis, I once was the Orange Ranger of my planet, he told to the astonished young woman.
"Orange? I thought my natural color was yellow?" she questioned him in curiosity.
"The Zeo Crystal that Aisha passed to you, its natural color is orange, not yellow. It only remained yellow because Aisha's natural color override the Crystal's and though you are a natural orange, you were not strong enough in the Power then to change it back to its natural color. Now that you have passed the test, the Zeo Crystal can now change back to its natural color of orange," explained the bird like spirit.
"Wait a minute! I'm going to a Zeo Ranger again?" asked Tanya with surprise in her voice.
"Why, yes. You were always destined for the Orange Zeo Crystal, unfortunately you will be the only adult Zeo Ranger for the moment," lectured Hreon.
"What about Trey?" she asked with amazement.
"He will go through the adult rites on his wedding day, if there is a wedding day. By the power! Queen Nisise has my sympathy!" exclaimed the spirit.
"Why?" she asked with curiosity.
Hreon waved a wing in despair, and replied, "Let me just say that Trey and his bride are going to cause a lot of supernovas, until they are married Queen Nisise is unable to join us here. Now let us discuss more pleasant things, such as your new powers." Then he gave Tanya a great lecture on the aspects of becoming the Orange Zeo Ranger.
The Aquitian Ranger waited anxiously for the former Earth Rangers to come out of their crystal shell. "How long have they been, Delphine?" questioned Corcus with curiosity.
"Since yester evening, they should be out soon," replied Delphine.
"I'm surprised that the Phantom Ranger isn't joining us for his cousin's adult passing," stated Tideus.
"He is not quite fully grown in the Power yet, so he is staying with Andros on the Astro Megaship until they have completed the adult rites," Aurico told his fellow Ranger in arms.
"Thank the Power," muttered Cestria gratefully.
As the other Aquitian Ranger tried not to laugh at her response, the crystal structures containing their Earth friends began to crack. "Ah, they are coming out of it!" exclaimed Cestro in excitement.
With a sudden explosion the crystal cocoons gave way to the new adult Rangers, Tommy the White Eltarian Falcon Ranger, Rocky the Earth Red Ape Ranger, Adam the Earth Black Frog Ranger, Billy the Earth Blue Wolf Ranger, Aisha the Earth Bear Yellow Ranger, and Tanya the Earth Orange Zeo Ranger. Everyone looked at the new uniforms, instead of latex the new Ranger suit was made of armor as hard as diamond. Tommy, Rocky, Billy, Aisha's uniform was similar to the old morphin uniform they once wore; with the expectation of their helmets which were design to reflect they're animal spirit guides. Tanya's uniform design remained unchanged, except it was orange instead of the bright yellow that was the color of her old Zeo suit.
As congratulations were issued to the new adult Rangers, Cestria came to Tommy with a fierce determination, "Lord Thomas, I have a request to make to you in repayment of the debt you have with me," she stated formally to the young lord.
Tommy looked at Cestria with worry and asked, "What is your request?" Cestria smiled with secret delight.
A few hours later, "By the Power of Light you are both mates for life!" shouted Tommy and Delphine together to the couple before them.
"You may kiss your bride, Billy," Tommy told his friend with joy echoing in his voice. Everyone who was present for the ceremony shouted in excitement as Billy did just that to his new wife, Cestria the Pink Aquitian Ranger.
"They make a good match," stated the Phantom Ranger to Andros, who stood beside him at the wedding reception that was held after the ceremony.
Andros shrugged, "I suppose so, you'll never catch me getting married!" he exclaimed with disgust.
"For myself, I can't wait to marry Cassie!" Phantom shouted to Andros with jubilation.
Andros groaned with expiration, "Please, can we get off the topic of love? I thought Aquitians didn't have wedding receptions?" questioned Andros with curiosity.
"They don't, but since Billy and Cestria married in a traditional Aquitian ceremony, Cestria believed it was only fair they had a traditional Earth wedding reception," explained Phantom to his good friend.
"Is that where, what's it called, ice cream came from?" asked Andros.
"Yes, Tommy brought gallons of it when he came to Aquitar. I suspect as a bribe for Cestria," he spoke softly to Andros.
"Why would he try to bribe her?" questioned Andros with concern.
"There was no harm in it Andros, that is all I may tell you on what I suspect is the true reason for the bribe. Why don't you try the Earth ice cream before all the Aquitians consume it entirely? It is extremely pleasant form of dessert," Phantom told the Red Astro Ranger.
"Very well, what flavor should I try?" requested Andros to his mysterious friend.
"The Rocky Road, it quite suits your personality," joked Phantom to his stubborn friend.
Andros gave a dirty look to Phantom, as he reached for a bowl of Rocky Road ice cream.
"I hope you two have a long life together," spoke Adam to his friend as he, Tommy, Tanya, Aisha, Rocky, and Phantom prepared to leave for Earth. The Phantom Ranger who was morphed, Billy, and Aquitian Rangers were the only ones in uniform while the others wore normal, civilian clothes.
"Thank you, Adam. I just wished we could have gathered the others for both ceremonies," Billy told his friend with a little sorrow, but much joy in his voice.
"So, do I," muttered Tommy as he thought gravely of Dark Spectre. "Have no fear, Lord Thomas. Your comrades shall go through the rites in time," Delphine told the young man in an attempt of reassurance.
"Time, is one thing we have very precious little of, Delphine. All right, guys let's head home!" command Tommy.
"I shall meet you on Earth, my friends," stated Phantom as he disappeared from site.
Rocky blinked at where the Phantom Ranger used to be, "I hate to be one of that guy's relatives!" he exclaimed. Tommy shifted with discomfort that went unnoticed by the others with the exception of Billy and the Aquitian Rangers.
"Delphine, begin teleportation," ordered Tommy before Rocky made another uneasy statement.
When they reached the Power Chamber on Earth, Rocky exclaimed "Hey guys! We're back!" Rocky's statement was met with silence from those already gather in the Power Chamber.
Sensing something was wrong; Adam asked, "What happened?"
