Season 2: Episode 2 "Shadows of The Past"

The Space Station hums with after-battle energy. Repairs continue. The five Parallaxes stand together near one of the observation windows, looking out into star-speckled space. Parallax Red rubs his temples.

Parallax Red: This place is loud. Was it always this loud?

Parallax Blue: Statistically, yes. Emergency situations increase decibel levels by an average of-

Parallax Green: Bro. No one asked for the audiobook.

Parallax Blue: The Doctor says we're stable. That's good news.

Parallax Green (grinning): Stable? We look amazing. Split five ways and still dangerous.

Parallax Red: Don't get cocky. We still don't know how long this condition will last.

Parallax White (softly): And we still don't know what it means... for her.

The others glance at Kat as she walks onto the deck in her Galaxy League Uniform giving directions to some and helping others with repairs.

Parallax Gold: Kat.

Parallax Red: I remember her smile. The way she says his...our...name.

Parallax Blue: I remember the promises we made.

Parallax Green: And how she'd kill us if we screw this up.

They all laugh lightly. Just as they turn to walk towards Kat she receives a communication and teleports away. Colt enters, tired but composed.

Colt: Good. You're all here. We've stabilized the station, but global attacks are still ongoing. After what you did out there...
(pauses)
I'm glad you're with us.

Parallax Gold: We fight. That's what we do.

Colt: Yeah. Still getting used to hearing Blade in surround sound.

Parallax Red (smirks): You'll live.

Colt: Billy is working on a way to bring the five of you back together but until then we've readied new quarters. Until we know more I'd like you all to stay here and help with repairs.   

Before The Parallaxes can answer, ALPHA 7 appears on a nearby screen.

Alpha 7: COLT! I'm picking up a... a disturbance in Stone Canyon on Earth. Something big. Something old.

Dulcea runs and approaches Colt

Dulcea: Colt...you're going to want to gather whoever you can for this. 

Parallax Blue: Her voice trembles.

Parallax Red: Dulcea never trembles.

Colt: What is it?

Dulcea: A presence we hoped never to feel again.

A ripple of violet energy crosses the view screen.

Stone Canyon - Day

Tourists are walking up and down Stone Canyon, spending time with their families and taking pictures as a ripple of violent energy hits the ground and a vortex of swirling purple slime erupts.
Everyone scatters as IVAN OOZE steps forward, stretching like he's waking from a long nap.

Ivan Ooze: Ahhh... three thousand years and my joints still make that pop.

Ivan Grins

Ivan Ooze: Now then... where did I leave off?

Ivan creates a small army of Tenga Warriors (Large Crow Human Hybrids) and they begin to chase and harass the tourists who are still running away screaming. 

Space Station - Command Deck

Parallax White: That energy... I know it. Or... Blade knew it.

Parallax Gold: Ivan Ooze. Phaedos history lesson 101.

Dulcea: He is corruption made flesh. We must stop him before he gathers strength.

Colt: Alpha, who do we have available

Alpha 7: The Omega Rangers are ready. The Zeo Rangers are handling something in Tokyo. Turbo Rangers are handling a flood in Melbourne. Thundercats and Green Lantern Corps are still off world Lightstar Rangers are on their way back from Triforia will be here in 2 hours.  

Colt: Parallax Squad stays on station defense. I'll take the Omegas. When the Zeo and Turbo Rangers return have them on standby.   

Parallax Blue: Be careful.

He morphs GOLD GLADIATOR, then teleports away.

Stone Canyon

The Omega Rangers: Mia (Orange), Ule (Grey), Dais (Green), Dulcea (Silver), Colt (Gold) materialize in formation.

Colt: First things first let's get these Birds to Fly the coop and clear the area

Mia/Ule/Dais/Dulcea: RIGHT?

The Omega Rangers engage and begin to dispose of the Tenga Warriors allowing the tourists to get away

TJ (Over Communicator): Turbo Rangers Done in Melbourne and headed your way.   

Colt: Fantastic. Use the Turbo Zords to clear the area!

As the tourists are running away the Turbo Zords drive towards the entrance of Stone Canyon and the Omega Rangers work quickly to help them begin to clear the area by establishing a flow.

TJ: Okay everyone please be patient we can only carry five cars worth of people at a time.  

Dais: Alright you guys got this we're gonna go help deal with Ooze

Cassie: We'll be back to help as soon as we can.

The Omega Rangers rejoin Colt as they begin to approach Ivan Ooze

Colt: Alright everyone let's be careful here. We don't know what we're dealing with.  

Ivan Ooze is waiting.

Ivan (mock applause): Oh, look! New colors. New kids. Same tights.

Colt: Ivan Ooze you're under arrest by order of the Galaxy League.

Ivan Ooze: Galaxy League? Cute.

Ivan throws purple slime that explodes on impact

Ivan: Let's play.

Mia's Orange whips are dissolved by acidic ooze. Dais is blown through a building. Ule's grey shield melts on contact. Dulcea is grabbed by a tentacle of ooze and slammed

Stone Canyon Entrance

The Turbo Rangers are still evacuating the area as the Tengas fly towards the entrance

Justin: Oh no.

Carlos: Tengas are coming towards us.

Everyone begins to Panic

Cassie: Please everyone remain calm so that we can get everyone to safety.

TJ: Ashley. Justin. Continue the evacuation, Carlos Cassie and I will hold them off.

Ashley: Alright everybody follow us. And whatever you do...

TJ Blasts a Tenga out of the sky and it falls right in front of a family's feet

Ashley: ...Don't look back

Ashley and Justin continue to drive people away as the rest of the Turbo Rangers fight off the Tengas.

Stone Canyon   

Colt and the rest of the team are fighting Ivan Ooze and Ivan is still winning decisively. They get up and come together.

Colt: We have to overwhelm him. Omega Formation.

The Omega Rangers stand together and charge Ivan who captures them in a purple cyclone and knocks them through a building.  

Colt manages to get to his feet and leaps forward, golden energy blazing

Ivan Ooze (bored): Please.

Ivan flicks one finger and a shockwave sends Colt crashing through three cars, armor sparking. The Omegas regroup, battered.

Dulcea: Colt... he's stronger than before. Much stronger.

Colt (straining): We're not done yet.

Colt forces himself up

Ivan: Ah-ah-ah!

Ivan compresses energy between his palms

Ivan: BAD Rangers.

A violet shockwave flattens all five Omegas simultaneously. Ivan laughs.

Ivan: I'll be right back. I have... errands.

Colt gets up to swing his sword at Ivan. Ivan vanishes in a smear of purple light.

Colt falls to his knees, furious and ashamed.

Stone Canyon - Entrance

TJ, Carlos, and Cassie are fighting the Tengas as Justin and Ashley return in their Turbo Zords

Justin: That's everyone!

TJ: Great job you guys now let's finish these guys off TURBO RAM CANNON!

The Turbo Rangers Form The Turbo Ram Cannon blasting the Tenga Warriors until they explode.

Space Station - Parallax Quarters

The Parallaxes are watching the viewer. 

Parallax White: Colt's hurt.

Parallax Gold: Badly.

Parallax Blue: We should have gone with him.

Parallax Red: That wasn't our mission.

Parallax Green: Mission or not... he's family.

Space Station - Sickbay

The Omega Rangers dematerialize in emergency transport. They are all beat up especially Colt who is barely conscious.  Jason enters the room.

Jason: What have we got Doc?

Jason helps The Doctor get Colt onto the table. The Doctor beings scanning Colt.  

Doctor: Concussion...Several Bruised Ribs...Whiplash...Third Degree Burns. Need I go on?

Jason: Nah, I think we got it Doc

Colt (weak): I should... have been stronger...

The Parallaxes enter quietly.

Parallax White (gently): Colt... you're alive. That's enough.

Parallax Red: We'll hit him together next time.

Parallax Blue: Strategically. Intelligently.

Parallax Green: Or we just punch him until he explodes. I like that plan.

Parallax Gold puts a hand on Colt's shoulder.

Parallax Gold: You don't carry this alone. Any version of us would tell you that.

Colt smiles faintly.

Dark Fortress - Space

Sinestro stands over holographic displays of the Space Station, Angel Grove, and the Parallax energy signatures.

Dimitria: Your attack on the station failed.

Sinestro: Please. That wasn't an attack. That was a pulse check.

Zedd: Then what's the next step?

Sinestro: The Galaxy League are insufferable, but one thing I did learn from them was patience.    

Rita: Patience, they're vulnerable, we could kill them now

Sinestro: SILENCE! 

Sinestro bangs his fist on the throne the council trembles in fear

Sinestro: With Ooze here now an opportunity has fallen into our lap. He will destroy them, move on and the world will be ours for the taking.
